WELCOME TO D TURGAY ALTILAR'S HOME PAGE

Peace at home, peace in the world.

Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK

Why does this page begin with a quotation from Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK? And why is it especially this one?

It is not easy to explain what Atatürk means to the most of Turks. Just bear in mind that his surname, Atatürk, means "The Father of Turks".

This is the quotation upon which the basic principles of Turkish Republic's foreign policy is build.

Have a quick look at the UNESCO Resolution on ATATÜRK CENTENNIAL.

Knowing that words are no good unless they are supported with facts and documentation, excuse me for the time being for not having relevant documentation, please try to reach some more information about Atatürk via this page.

To the Turkish visitors of this page :

I humbly suggest you to read his address to the Turkish Youth and try to grasp the meaning of each word, eventhough you should have read it lots of times. Read once more and be aware of your responsibilities and feel the power you have. If you are away from home, think of your country and think of what you can do in favor abroad. Think of your nation that need you.

Here is another speech of Atatürk about "Greatness".(in Turkish)

To the non-Turkish visitors of this page :

I humbly suggest you to read his address to the Turkish Youth as well. The Turkish Youth is and will be keen on following his words keeping his promises forever.
